URBIX R&D Lab is equipped with powder resistivity measurement system MCP-PD51 and Loresta-GX low resistivity meter from Mitsubishi Chemical Analytech with built-in load-cell that monitors the applied pressure up to 20kN with high accuracy. Direct real time measurement of volumetric 4-probe resistivity of powders via an easy one-touch attach/detach probe unit enables accurate measurement of powder resistivity. Key application areas include: i) graphite, graphene, activated carbon and other conducting ink powders, carbon nanofibers, rechargeable battery electrode materials, electronic parts materials (condensers, resistors, etc.), cokes, coal etc; ii) metal powders, battery electrode materials, thin film materials (copper powder, ITO powder, etc.), conductive pastes, conductive paints, epoxies and coatings; iii) toners and related powders, magnetic materials such as ferrite, food and pharmaceuticals, automotive parts, motor parts etc.

URBIX R&D Lab is equipped TA Instruments Discovery Xenon Flash DXF- 200 diffusivity system. A sub-ambient test system, DXF 200 uses an efficient liquid nitrogen cooling mechanism to provide accurate and stable temperature control from -150 °C to 200 °C in air or inert gas. Applying DXF-200, URBIX Team specializes in both in-plane and through thickness thermal conductivity evaluation of thin and thick samples, including multilayer laminates, composite and sandwich structures. Complex structures such as carbon fiber composites, thin graphite foil, bonded and fastened joints, including IC chips bonded to heat sink material, thermal resistance of interfaces, liquid slurry, conducting ink, liquid – solid interfaces and porous ceramics can be tested in air or partial atmosphere, vacuum or inert gas within the temperature range -150degree C to 200degree C. Some of the potential application areas and materials are as follows: graphite and carbon, carbon fibers, grafoil, carbon fiber foils, porous ceramics, polymers, concrete and asphalt, textiles and textile composites, epoxy resins, fiberglass, dense ceramics, liquids, plastics, firebrick, cellulose, mineral fiber, aluminum, copper, steel, other metal & alloys etc.

The prepASH provides higher precision and reproducibility of the results through considerable improvements of manual procedures. This is an instrument where no technology transfer data loss occurs and where the entire process is monitored and recorded from start to finish. In one working cycle, up to 29 specimens and a reference pan are ashed fully automatically in accordance with the latest quality guidelines, monitored and recorded within a wide temperature range of 50° to 1000°C. Safety and reliability in the storage of fundamental data and operating parameters are guaranteed.
